The time has come. No boot camp will save me now. No anti-cellulite cream, no sit-ups or Spanx are going to help and I certainly won't be able to fit in a liposuction course in within the next 48 hours. It is bikini time.
In little under 48 hours I will be jetting off to the White Isle to enjoy the sun sea and sand and maybe just one glass of Sangria (per hour that is!).
However, no matter how fab my selection of P bikinis are, there's still that tinge of disappointment at not having achieved the beach body I'd set out to after all those the hard months of diet, detox and working out.
So, seeing as I'm not quite 100% bikini-body ready, in my last remaining hours I'll be heading back to Primark. As market leaders in everything that's cheap and cheerful, I'll be spending a good while tomorrow perusing rails to nab myself one or two of their great selection of cover-ups.
So if like me the sunshine is out but you are still gloomy about your body, here is a list of the cover-ups that will have you holiday happy in no time.
The Kaftan: The square-shape, embellished-neck kaftan is a gorgeous reinvention of the classic hippy look of the 60s. These cover-ups, available in a range of patterns, colours and fabrics, are ideal of pear-shape frames and will really flatter the bum and hips.
Cotton Maxi: With its loose flowing empire line down the body beneath the elasticised boob tube, better endowed ladies will love the wide selection of cotton maxis. They're available in colours to match all skin shades, and look great when accessorised with some huge earrings and a straw beach bags.
The Dress Vest: If you're lucky enough to have a tall, lean, svelte figure, then show it off with a dress vest. The dress' racer back design accentuates and exposes beautifully toned shoulders a treat, and will also cover up lumps and bumps that you may have around your tummy and hips.
Kimono: The must-have jacket style for 2011, a long and floaty kimono are great for slipping on as you head to the bar. It's the ideal cover-up to take away with you on your summer holiday.
